The stomach is a hollow muscular organ located in the upper middle-left portion of the abdomen, and aids in the digestion of food as it secretes enzymes and gastric acid.
Sitting
In sitting meditation, gently bring your felt-sense to your stomach.
Like shining a flashlight, focus the light of attention on the musculature inside, and the surrounding tissues.
Like shining a flashlight, focus the light of attention on the musculature inside, and the surrounding tissues.
To feel is to know. Without using thought, use your eyes and felt-sense awareness to look within. Hold awareness for several seconds to minutes and breathe as you open to what is there.
Be present, compassionate and nonjudgmental, no matter what arises.
Shaking
In standing meditation, inhale and come up onto your toes. Exhale, come down onto your feet, and begin shaking your whole body (it is recommended for women to wear a sports bra).
Relax any tension, shaking gently and non-violently. Close the eyes to feel more, if balance can be maintained. Again, bring your awareness to your stomach, and shake the stomach lovingly away from the surrounding fascia and connective tissue, so that it is free and unbound. Shake out worry, fear, and any experiences you have not been able to digest. Shake for several minutes, feel and let your stomach express...
After many minutes of observation and processing, shake in love. Shake in freedom. Shake in acceptance, and light.
When you are ready to complete the process, come to a stop. Stand and feel your connection to greater life.
